Two weekends ago, I tried painting in oils for the
first time in a very long time. Last weekend I finished the painting. It's not actually finished -- there is a lot more I could do with it -- but it's a copy of a painting by Edgar Degas, Woman Ironing, and I want to try something on my own . . . to be continued!
Well, Nancy, I think it is lovely. I have a fascination with pictures of a girl or a woman doing "a thing". I find it very appealing in a sort of simple, sterile kind of way. I am hoping that one day in my old age I might develop a talent for painting or drawing (which I have absolutely no talent for now & never have). My Grandma Moses day may come...
